MILTON, Ga. The second annual Denim and Diamonds event April 27 was a roaring success. Hosted at Shannondale Farms in Milton, over 330 guests donned their best cowboy boots and bling to come out to support Children's Charities.

Over $30,000 was raised to support a state-of-the-art autism detection unit coming to the Forsyth location of Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. This new technology can detect and help diagnose autism in children as young as 6 months old. The night featured a chef competition sponsored by Harry's Farmers Market, Custom Grey Goose martini bars, live music by Mid Life Crisis, a silent auction and a $6,000 diamond drop giveaway from Atlanta Diamond Design.

Milton's Chef Derek Dollar won the chef competition with halibut, cilantro corn spoon bread, petite arugula salad and honey jalapeno lime vinaigrette. Winner of the diamond giveaway was Jan Delong.
