CUMMING, Ga. — A thief ransacked and stole electronics from a family's home while they vacationed, according to a Forsyth County Sheriff's incident report.

At 5 p.m. April 7, a family in the 3600 block of Chattahoochee Road, arrived home from a trip and found their back door open and a 50-inch flat-screen television missing from the living room.

The thief opened all the drawers and jewelry boxes in the home and left items broken on the floor.

The family had been gone since April 2. Neighbors told deputies they didn't see anyone at the home.

In addition to the television, the thief stole a computer, an Xbox 360 and a gold and silver watch. The items were valued at $2,190.
