Elkins Pointe student raises money for sick classmate

The Harris family, pictured along with Veena Jaipradeep, Principal Melinda Springman and Assistant Principal Nick Cassidy, were amazed and inspired by Jaipradeep’s efforts to help Trenton Harris, who has suffered from leukemia.
ROSWELL, Ga. — Elkins Pointe Middle School student Veena Jaipradeep raised over $1,500 for a classmate battling leukemia. Though she barely knows Trenton Harris other than passing him in the hallways, she worked together with her out-of-state family and friends to raise the money.
