Chandler Furman of Milton claims fourth gym title

Milton resident Chandler Furman claimed her fourth state gymnastics title Nov. 11.
MILTON, Ga. — Chandler Furman, of Milton, competed in the USA Level 6 Georgia State Gymnastics Championships the weekend of Nov. 10-11 in Buford, Ga. Furman is the 2012 State Bar Champion for USA Level 6 in her age division. This is her fourth state title in five years. Previously, she has won the state title on bars twice in Level 4 and once in Level 5. She finished in second place in the individual all-around competition and competed in two events for her team, Roswell Gymnastics, in the all-around team competition. The Roswell team went on to win the state title, defeating teams from throughout Georgia. Furman is daughter of Andy and Cindy Furman of Milton and is a seventh-grader at Fellowship Christian School.
