Fellowship raises $19K for diabetes research

FCS parents Lisa Herring and Ronda Davenport and school Headmaster Bob Burris present a check for $19,000 to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation representative Mallory Lamons.
ROSWELL, Ga. – Dr. Bob Burris, headmaster of Fellowship Christian School, along with FCS parents Lisa Herring and Ronda Davenport presented a $19,000 check to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation representative Mallory Lamons. For the fourth year in a row, FCS students "went the extra mile" for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation by participating in the JDRF Walkathon on Wednesday, Nov.7. The entire K4 through 12th grade student body of Fellowship – 785 strong – walked the school's halls due to rain.

This annual event is part of Fellowship's GO Program that engages its students in making a positive impact upon the community and, in this case, for the five FCS students that live with diabetes.
