ALPHARETTA, Ga. — AMLI North Point officially opened its doors on Nov. 7 and celebrated by donating to the Big Creek Greenway.

AMLI North Point, 9000 Beaver Creek Road, is Alpharetta's first LEED (Leadership in Environmental and Energy Design) Gold certified apartment complex.

All the apartments are equipped with energy-efficient appliances, plumbing and air-conditioning systems.

"We have worked hard and invested significant additional capital to achieve our LEED and EarthCraft certifications," said Phil Tague, executive vice president of AMLI. "[We] hope that our residents share in our excitement as we strive to create healthy living environments for our residents."

AMLI also wanted to improve the Alpharetta environment.

To do so, the complex donated $10,000 to the city to be spent on the Big Creek Greenway.

"We also commit ourselves to being a good Alpharetta citizen by supporting the neighboring Big Creek Greenway Trail," Tague said.
