JOHNS CREEK, Ga. – Fall in all its glory at the Country Club of the South will find local golfers teeing up Monday, Nov. 19 for the annual Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce Golf Classic.

Presented by Northside Hospital, the annual GNFCC Golf Classic is the chamber's largest fundraising event.

"We are different from our sister chambers in Cobb, Gwinnett and Forsyth in that we receive no supporting funds from the county," said Chamber Director of Communications Debbie Ryals. "We depend on our three annual events – the gala, the Business Expo and the Golf Classic. We are just fortunate there are a lot of members who love to play golf."

The funds go to support special chamber programming. For example, this year the chamber hosted workshops for the Fulton County Board of Elections to train poll workers and get out the vote. The chamber also hosted a MARTA presentation on its long-range planning.

The original outing in October, cancelled due to rain, was a sellout. But Ryals said a small number of cancellations are still available.

"We do have sponsorship opportunities open – hole sponsors, tee box sponsors, hole-in-one sponsor and others. If anyone would like to participate, they should call me or email," Ryals said.

Ryals can be contacted at 678-397-0556 or at www.gnfcc.com.
