JOHNS CREEK, Ga. — The Johns Creek community gathered Oct. 19 for the sixth annual Mayor's Ball at the Atlanta Athletic Club.

Johns Creek Mayor Mike Bodker gave his appreciation to everyone who continually supports the city.

He recognized all of the members who have had outstanding participation in keeping Johns Creek a great place to live.

Some of those in attendance included Ron Jones and Vicki Johnson, who were named Johns Creek Volunteers of the Year.

Jones was recognized for his role in Leadership Johns Creek, which has helped improve the greenery at Technology Park.

Johnson was recognized for her role as president of the Northeast/Spruill Oaks Library. Johnson has had many achievements in the Johns Creek community, including organizing the library's first International Day.

Bodker also recognized AT&T, State Farm and Emory Johns Creek Hospital for the Sponsorship Award.

Emory Johns Creek Hospital CEO Craig McCoy talked about the recent improvements at the hospital. Emory Johns Creek has added 49 new jobs, McCoy said, and has continually improved its patient satisfaction.
