CUMMING, Ga. — Great weather greeted hundreds of visitors to downtown Cumming as the Cumming Country Fair and Festival kicked off Oct. 4.

The fair and festival will run through Oct. 14.

Stenitta Hostetter, of Cumming, was there on opening day.

"I like paying one price upfront and the kids can ride all the rides," Hostetter said.

Opening day deals included free admission and $18 for unlimited rides.

Every day offers something different for fairgoers, including nightly concerts like the performance by the Charlie Daniels Band at 8 p.m. Oct. 11.

"I enjoy bringing my kids," Anne Lovell said. "It's a family tradition for us."

This marks the 18th year of what has become a tradition in the area.

The fair is held at Cumming Fairgrounds, 235 Castleberry Road, and includes rides, carnival food and live shows.

There are also specials going on daily, including discounts on rides and free entrance days.
