Tam says 'The perception is that high density development is rampant'. It's not a perception - it's fact. Of the 4 zoning apps in his district - JEH is seeking RES6 and the other 3 applications are seeking RES4 - for a total of 335 homes. They are setting legal precedent for future RES4 & RES6 housing if these are all approved.
Tam also fails to mention that the 2013 Forsyth rezoning applications were for a total of 1767 units. YTD - as of 5/3/14 - Forsyth has 2,914 units approved and/or in process for approval!! Of the 2,914 - approx 1600-1800 units are in District 3 alone.
Tam also doesn't mention that Commissioner Tam & family - thru Lennar Georgia Homes has a zoning appl in 686 homes on 443 acres. Very close to Castleberry Rd which doesn't have a traffic issue but which the BOC voted to spend $13 million of county money to widen.
