City Council misses another opportunity to take the high road.
June 21, 2013 | 10:00 PM

The way I see it, the Mayor seems to want to negotiate with our neighbors over issues that affect more than one city (e.g., Roger's Bridge, Brumbelow/Nesbit Ferry light, Alpharetta Parks and Recreation) but the City Council doesn't want to and doesn't want him to.  Is this the example we really want to teach to Johns Creek students?  This is embarrassing to our city.  Whenever I have volunteered in this city, the Mayor  has always been there to look me in the eye and say thank you.  I have seen the Mayor in action at executive and public council sessions and it is obvious that he always does his homework and is prepared. I have been involved in city, county, state, national, and international governments for many years and from my perspective, I would have had to get up early and work late to keep up with the likes of a Mike Bodker but that is a good thing and I want my Mayor to elicit that feeling in others.  Mayor, thank you for your service and please keep fighting for what you feel is the right thing for Johns Creek's citizens.
