Look Elsewhere
March 01, 2013 | 09:20 AM

I agree that the delegation's refusal to change the Johns Creek charter is puzzling. But I would suggest looking elsewhere for the underlying cause. Over and over we've seen the Johns Creek City Council decide they know better than everyone else and in turn alienate their bretheren (Ocee park patrols, emergency radio system, Nesbit Ferry traffic light, etc.). I wouldn't at all be suprised if somewhere along the line they ticked off the North Fulton Delegation, and now they're reaping the benefits. Just a guess, of course.

As a side note, concerning the statement that Fulton County schools are "the best school system for its size in the state." Just how many other school systems in the state are the size of Fulton's? Two? Gwinnett and Cobb? I don't know if that's such a good measuring stick.
