WHO are these five nitwits??? April 30, 2008 | 08:53 PM
"Alpharetta voter" and the other four nitwits that I have watched try to hijack this project with every half-truth, twisted fact and outright lie they could come up with have finally gotten exactly what they deserve and so have the Citizens of Alpharetta.
The nitwits were shown that no narrow-minded group of five is going to propogandize their views and fearbating on an entire community of over 2000 residences and the citizens of Alpharetta got a wonderful showcase development on one of our most prominant pieces of undeveloped real estate left in our city. Not only did we get the Windward Mill project; but we also got the last revisions to the Prospect Park project passed Monday night. This represents billions (with a B) of dollars of investment in Alpharetta's economic future at a time when most communities are struggling just to keep what they have. The pride and egos of these few men that would use any means necessary to scare the residents of Windward into joining their crusade failed and failed miserably. This group has lost the respect of every non-kool-aid drinking resident of Windward and I (for one) look forward to their immenant demise as "the self appointed, self rightious voice of Windward".
I've watched their self-serving e-mails and web page (which WSCA kicked off the OFFICIAL homeowner's page) twist every fact of this application into a fear-bating propoganda campaign. I've watched them turn this into a personal attack on one particular Councilman, though every vote (including Monday night's) was unanymous. The City Council has shown true leadership in the face of a very vocal and emotionally driven small group of "small men" who would not let the truth or facts come before their pride and personal agendas.
Hooray for our elected officials!
In five or six years when these two projects (and hopefully more) are built and Alpharetta is the envy of the State of Georgia; no one will remember "Alpharetta voter" and his four friends and no one will be more glad than these five nitwits.

| | He should sue April 23, 2008 | 01:19 PM
This is a businessman who owns the land and wiling to invest in the community to bring a top dollar development to the city and all he is getting is static from meddling busybodies who think they own Alpharetta and everything in it. Maybe he should sue the pants off these anti business clowns so he can get to to work improving the city and the economy, and that includes the fake homeowners group that is whining about it.

At the meeting there was a large drawing of a proposal which was labeled "Current Zoning". I noticed the drawing did not actually portray the current zoning which was passed in 1999 so I asked the developer, Penn Hodge, about the discrepancy.
Mr. Hodge said that his legal team had presented a brief to the Alpharetta City Attorney which he believed shows that the developers have standing to overturn the current zoning and revert back to the original Windward Master Plan.
I asked Mr. Hodge if that meant that he would sue the city if they didn't say yes to his proposal. Mr. Hodge graciously pointed out that I was not an attorney and he was. Then he said, "Yes."
Seems like, "Possible zoning if Alpharetta folds under threat of lawsuit or developers wins in court" would have been a more accurate label for a public forum. But of course I'm not an attorney so what do I know?
