Gun shots - what was it?near Rivermont

I heard gun shots at 4am this morning (10/17/09) - one, then two seconds later, three in rapid succession. It was either in River Glen or Rivermont. Called 911, but never heard any sirens later. Any news? Is there any place to look online for police reports of that kind of thing ?
Since it's my neighborhood, I'd very much like to know what's going on, safety-wise !
