Gwinnett Police issue Mattie's Call for teen

| | | (click for larger version) | | January 23, 2009 Gwinnett County Police have issued a Mattie's Call for a 14-year-old girl who is mentally-challenged. It is believed that her mental capacity is that of an 11 year-old. The victim, Aleshea Penn, lives with her grandmother who has legal custody.
Preliminary investigation has revealed that Aleshea, who lives at the Holland Park Apartments located 1175 Mckendree Church Road was last seen by her grandmother at approximately midnight on Jan. 19. It was reported that she was in the area of Building nine with a black male just before her disappearance. The black male is described as being in his 20's approximately 6'00' tall with short dreadlock hair. He was last seen driving a four door sedan that may have been silver. Police are still following any leads that may indicate Penn's whereabouts.
Prior to her disappearance, Aleshea made contact with several individuals, in Cleveland, Ohio. She advised them that her biological mother who lives in Ohio was picking her up on Thursday, Jan. 22. Aleshea's biological mother last had contact with her at approximately 9 p.m. on Jan. 19.
Penn was last seen wearing a black jacket with the word "Polo" written on it and blue jeans. She has black hair and brown eyes. She is 5 foot, 3 inches tall and approximately 180 pounds.
