Bring one for the chipper in Johns Creek

(click for larger version) | | January 07, 2009 JOHNS CREEK - Residents brought their Christmas trees to be recycled at The Home Depot on State Bridge Road Jan. 3.
The event was sponsored by the city of Johns Creek and coordinated by Keep North Fulton Beautiful. Volunteers included scouts from Boy Scout Troop 2000, coordinated by Mark Kopel, The Kiwanis Club from Johns Creek, and The Johns Creek Chamber of Commerce. Food and reusable bags were donated by Whole Foods of Johns Creek. Volunteers estimated that they unloaded 500 trees on Saturday and about 1,000 were left before and after the event.
Davey Tree will be chipping the trees at all the Home Depot sites for the next several weeks. Those interested can request a free truckload of mulch by calling Davey Tree at 770-451-7911.
