Cumming boy is Pokémon expert

Richard Gerling, a 9-year-old from Cumming, put his Pokémon card trading skills to the test on Dec. 6 at the Pokémon Trading Card Game City (TCG) Tournament in Columbus, Miss., and came out on top.
Battling against many fellow Pokémon TGC players, Richard finished with a first place ranking and has earned an invitation to compete in the upcoming State Tournament. Pokémon TCG tournaments provide an opportunity for young people to succeed at an intellectual sport and for each player to test his or her Pokémon TCG skills, strategy, and creativity.
