December 10, 2008 Drivers can expect delays to continue for three to four more weeks on Ga. 9 northbound at Oak Street in Roswell as AT&T crews will be repairing damages to their underground lines and equipment made by a company that was installing a fiber optic duct.
Crews will be on site six-days-a-week to repair the lines, and the Georgia Department of Transportation is allowing them to work extended hours to reduce the timeframe for the work. Contractors are working extended hours Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Saturday 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
While crews are repairing the lines, the right northbound lane will be closed and traffic will be reduced to one lane. Motorist should expect some delays in their travel time in the area. Arrow boards and construction signs will inform travelers of the lane closure.
