December 05, 2008 AES Clean Technology picked Suwanee for a reason. Those firms needing cleanrooms pick AES for a reason.
Linda Jones, marketing coordinator for AES, explains more about the firm, its products and why it picked this Gwinnett city.
Who are your customers?
Jones: The AES Pharma Wall and Walk-On Ceiling aseptic cleanroom system is the preferred modular cleanroom system for pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and life science sectors.
Global pharmaceutical and biotechnology manufacturers, including GlaxoSmith Kline, Amgen, Novartis, Lilly, and more, depend on our cleanroom system to meet strict regulatory guidelines for aseptic manufacturing as established by governing bodies in the USA and EU.
What does AES produce?
Jones: AES designs and builds the critical manufacturing core cleanroom environments required for pharma and biopharma manufacturing. We manufacture the proprietary aseptic modular cleanroom walls and ceiling panels we use in our cleanroom systems in Suwanee, Ga.
These panels are designed to meet the most stringent requirements for pharmaceutical manufacturing, as regulated by the FDA, EU and other regulatory bodies.
AES Pharma System wall and ceiling panels are manufactured "clean" in our 80,000 square foot Suwanee, Ga. manufacturing facility, for clean installation at our customer sites.
Why Suwanee?
Jones: The I-85 business corridor provides excellent transportation options for shipping and travel to the major pharmaceutical manufacturing locations in the US, Puerto Rico, Canada, Mexico, and Europe. Within a few hours we can deliver material to the ports of Savannah or Jacksonville for shipping overseas, or moving by truck to sites in North America.
Suwanee provides a great quality of life for our employees, with affordable housing, good schools, shopping, parkland, and the cultural benefits of nearby Atlanta.
Most importantly, we are very impressed with the vision and commitment to excellence and quality by the people who lead and serve Suwanee. We see the evidence of this in the town's smart-growth strategies, in revitalization plans for downtown Suwanee, and in the sensible business tax rates the town has adopted. Suwanee seems to have found the right formula for building a strong business tax base and enhancing the residential quality of life at the same time.
