December 02, 2008 JOHNS CREEK - Johns Creek police arrested a 41-year-old Alpharetta woman Nov. 19 after she allegedly stabbed her boyfriend in the stomach with a steak knife at their Bristol Trail apartment.
Officers reported the victim, a 27-year-old man, had called 911 about the domestic dispute. When police arrived, they found him stumbling out of the couple's apartment, clutching his stomach and saying, "She stabbed me."
He told them he'd tried to leave the suspect, Latonya L. Rowe, but she'd allegedly hit him in the face and stabbed him. He said he "didn't know she had a knife until she pulled it out of me."
Police reported he had scratches to his face, as well.
After securing an ambulance for the victim, officers went inside the apartment and detained Rowe. She allegedly admitted to stabbing the victim with the steak knife when he tried to call his brother. Investigators found the knife in the kitchen.
Rowe said she was simply fighting back against the victim, and that he had started it.
The victim was taken to North Fulton Regional Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Rowe was taken to Fulton County Jail and charged with aggravated assault. There officers photographed injuries to her neck and face.
She remains in jail without bond.
