December 02, 2008 CUMMING - Gary Smith is expecting more records to be shattered for the Dec. 2 General Election runoff.
The General Election Runoff will decide the victor between Democrat Jim Martin and incumbent Republican Saxby Chambliss. Forsyth County Voter Registrar Gary Smith said 14,949 voters cast their ballots during eight days of early/advance voting.
"We should set records at each of the locations," he said.
Nearly 70 percent of Forsyth County voters turned out for the General Election. Smith said the numbers have been similar for the December runoff. For more local voting information, visit www.forsythco.com.
