ROSWELL - The holiday season got quite a bit brighter for Tiana Diggs and her three children when Warrick Dunn came to call.

The former Atlanta Falcon running back, now playing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, helped welcome the Diggs into their new Habitat for Humanity home on Oxbo Road in Roswell with a $5,000 check for the down payment.

Diggs said she never dreamed of living in her own home with her children.

"It's a miracle," she said.

The Warrick Dunn Foundation received the help of Aaron's Sales & Lease Ownership and Prudential Tropical Realty for providing furniture, a washer and dryer, refrigerator, linens, cleaning supplies, kitchen appliances, lawn and garden equipment and home decor.

Dunn told the family, Habitat employees and volunteers that the Home for the Holidays program carries on the legacy of his own mother, who also was a single mother raising several children.

The Foundation's Home for the Holidays program even fully stocked the kitchen, much to the delight of Diggs' youngest children, 6-year-old Jadyn Harding and 4-year-old Trey Harding.

Twelve-year-old Jourdan Diggs was happy with his own room and a football Dunn autographed.

The Diggs participated in Habitat for Humanity North Central Georgia's program to give them a hand up in owning their own home. The city of Roswell and Fulton County assisted with providing funding to rehabilitate several homes built years ago for other families.

The Diggs family will move into the four-bedroom, fully furnished home paying a mortgage considerably less than rent on an apartment. By providing several hundred hours of service helping build other Habitat homes, and rehabilitating her own, Tiana Diggs is able to qualify for the no interest loan.
