2008-11-20 BUSINESS POST | Businesses work for happy holidays

November 17, 2008 The North Fulton business community has expanded its holiday charitable work with a Holiday Gift Drive sponsored by the Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce. As partners with North Fulton Community Charities (NFCC), the businesses in the chamber are working to make holiday gifts available for young children and teenagers in the community.
Every year NFCC operates a Santa Store where underprivileged people can acquire gifts to give their children for the holiday. With the economic downturn, the need for assistance is greater than ever and is straining the resources of charitable organizations such as NFCC. These needs cut across all racial and ethnic boundaries.
"At a time when everyone is concerned about their financial future it is easy to forget about those less fortunate in our community," said Brandon Beach, CEO of the Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce. "However, there is nothing more rewarding than making the holidays brighter for young people in our community by giving a small gift. This is a way for our chamber members and residents in North Fulton to give back to the community." The Chamber is seeking unwrapped presents for two age groups were there is the greatest need – children up to 2 years and teenagers.
