November 05, 2008 ROSWELL - Roswell police arrested a 39-year-old Roswell man Oct. 26 after he allegedly shot a gun into the air over a dispute involving money at Club VIII Fifty in Roswell.
According to the incident report, the suspect, Ronnie Collier, was in a dispute over $60 for some work he'd done that night at the club. He said they hadn't paid him the full amount agreed upon when he finished working, so he got into a shouting match with the club's security manager.
Collier told police he and the manager almost came to blows. So he walked out to the business' back patio, allegedly shot a single round into the air and he came back in demanding his money.
Multiple witnesses on scene told police they'd seen Collier fire his weapon, including a camera man who videotaped the incident.
On Collier officers found a. 38 caliber pistol, a stun gun and a concealed weapon permit. He was charged with aggravated assault, terroristic threats and illegally discharging a firearm.
