Held at Benihana on Mansell Road, the event featured 25 police and firemen cooking on the hibachi - with some help of course.
Public Safety Foundation Chairman John Albers said more than 200 donors came out to the event, for which tickets were a $150 a piece. Table went for $1,200 each. The event sold out in less than two weeks.
In addition to food, guests were treated to live music and a silent auction, which included signed sports memorabilia, fishing trips, jewelry and more.
All funds went to the Alpharetta Public Safety Foundation, which was started in December 2006. In less than two years, the Foundation has provided financial support to families of firefighters and police officers in crises, purchased 11 alco-sensors to help catch DUI suspects and helped purchase a mobile license plate reading camera system.
