When youngsters involved in the Alpharetta Police Athletic League travel for sports meets and other events, they will have a nearly $60,000 vehicle to transport them.
No, it is not a new Mercedes, but it is 13-passenger Multi-Function School Activity Bus, with all the structural safety requirements of a school bus plus seat belts.
The bus was obtained at no cost to the city taxpayers through a $60,000 Community Development Block Grant awarded to the city.
