Alpharetta artist Libby White captured second place at the Georgia Heritage Center for the art show "Roots, Wings and Wild Things" with her Faerie cloth figure.
The elaborate standing figure was one of two White has in the month-long show at the Tallulah Falls Art Center. Her Bat Boy has also received lots of attention from gallery visitors.
The show is the largest member show for 2008 and runs until Nov. 1. Seventy-eight entries from area artists captured the show theme in ceramic, fiber, metal and paint. Regular gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. every day except Sunday when the Gallery opens at 1 p.m.
