ALPHARETTA - Though the final tally has yet to be made, the Alpharetta Rotary Club's annual Fun Fest raised thousands of dollars for its charitable activities.
Held at North Point Center East in Alpharetta, Fun Fest 2008 included a Kid's Fun Zone with a petting zoo, pony rides, train rides, giant slides, rock climbing wall a karate exhibition and more.
Car buffs enjoyed exploring automobiles on display at the Fun Fest car show.
Other activities include: music and shows featuring live entertainment throughout the day; dozens of restaurants offering a variety of food options; a Business Boulevard that resembles a one-day outdoor shopping mall; and, an arts and crafts area with exhibitors.
Alpharetta Rotary Club meets Fridays at 7:30 a.m. at Alpharetta Presbyterian Church on Academy Street. This week's speakers include Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle, with an appearance by Atlanta Brave pitcher John Smoltz expected.
