August 29, 2008 The Chattahoochee High School cheerleaders, football team and band are teaming up for the Cure in an effort to raise awareness and funds for the Susan G. Komen Foundation of Greater Atlanta.
At the Sept. 12 CHS football game a variety of activities and fundraisers are planned. Donations will be collected and educational information passed out. Pink and white T-shirts will be sold with slogans such as "Cheer for a Cure," "Rush for a Cure," or "Play for a Cure." All proceeds will benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
In addition, S&S Team Sports is donating pink hats that will be given to breast cancers attending the game. Pink bracelets and ribbons will be passed out. Chick-fil-A is donating the use of their cow for the evening and will provide coupons for those who buy a T-shirt.
Other sponsors include T2 Tennis and RBM/Mercedes Benz.
