The East Cobb Thunder won the 13U division of the 2008 Georgia Games Lacrosse Championships July 20 in Hampton. The Thunder, a travel lacrosse team composed of rising seventh- and eighth-grade players from feeder teams for several area high schools, including Chattahoochee, Milton, Lassiter and Pope, were among five teams in their division in the Georgia Games. An Olympic legacy, the Georgia Games Championships is an event for all ages and skill levels.
