Norman Broadwell was installed as president of the Alpharetta Historical Society for 2008-2009, replacing outgoing president Mike Warren.
Serving with Broadwell are board members Chestene Carter, Kim Dodson, Phil Monzo, Joy Ross, Mike Warren, Bonnie Steadman, Ellon Jones, Janet Rodgers, Doug Ross, Martine Broadwell, Jeannie Goodwin, Hazel Reese, Marjean Birt, Connie Mashburn and Cathy Horvath.
This past year the AHS worked on the following projects:
Partnering with the City of Alpharetta on the Sesquicentennial Celebration.
The reenactment of the signing of the order by the inferior Court of Milton to name the site Alpharetta.
Development of the Historical Walk of Historical Markers.
Having the Log Cabin open for tours at various times in the year.
Working on the Old Milton Country Fair event, which will be held on Sept. 13 and 14.
