FORSYTH COUNTY -- The Forsyth County Board of Commissioners will hold a Town Hall Meeting on Thursday, July 24, for the purpose of receiving citizen input relative to implementation of the green space acquisition portion of the parks, recreation and green space bond.
In February, Forsyth County voters approved a $100 million parks, recreation and green space bond, of which $36 million is earmarked for green space.
"This is going to be our chance to get to hear what people have to say," said Commission Chairman Charles Laughinghouse.
The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. in the Commissioners Meeting Room (Suite 220) in the
County Administration Building located at 110 E. Main Street in Cumming. The meeting will be available on TV Forsyth and on the county Web site at www.forsythco.com.
All interested parties are encouraged to attend.
Attendees will be asked to sign in prior to the comments section of the evening. A short presentation complete with an outline of defined projects and a map will kick off the meeting.
Laughinghouse said there could be another Town Hall Meeting regarding greenspace in the future.
