The County Club of Roswell Women's Golf Association will host the annual Grip, Rip & Score, a women's only, 18-hole tournament on July 21. This event has raised $60,000 over the years for North Fulton Community Charities.
NFCC assists families with emergency needs, including food, rent, utilities, clothing, transportation, and other basic needs.
For this year's event proceeds have been earmarked to benefit women and children with financial needs due to medical problems.
Corporate and civic sponsorships are available. The cost for participation is $100 and last year's tournament hosted 92 women participants.
"The Grip Rip & Score for NFCC is one way to use golf to benefit others in our community. There are a number our Country Club of Roswell WGA members who volunteer at NFCC. We are excited that this will be our 7th year hosting this tournament to raise money for this worthy charity," said Vicki Connelly, co-chair of this event. "Winanne Sutherland (co-chair) and I are continuing the theme of "women helping women."
