ROSWELL -- A man living in the Aspen Pointe apartments wrestled with a suspect who held a gun to his head in the parking lot in front of the man's apartment June 15.
No one was injured in the altercation, which was witnessed by two people nearby and another man who might have been in league with the suspect.
According to the incident report, the victim was exiting his car after a trip to Wal-Mart when the suspect put a gun to the back of his head and told him to freeze. Instead, the victim wheeled around, grabbed the gun and began fighting with the suspect.
During the fight, the victim saw another man standing on the other side of his car. He thought the two might be together, so he backed off and postured himself to fight both of them.
Instead of going another round, the man with the gun ran off. His accomplice quickly followed.
When police arrived, they described the victim as shaking and out of breath. He gave police a full description of the suspects, who were not located after a search of the complex.
The witnesses, a couple sitting in a van next to the victim's car, confirmed the story and descriptions.
