SANDY SPRINGS -- Sandy Springs police report a Roswell man was one of two people killed in a car accident on Roswell Road June 24.
Investigators said Magdeleno Arroyo and Jorge M. Diaz of Smyrna died at the scene of the accident, which occurred at the 7200 block of Roswell Road shortly after 11:30 a.m. Two other passengers were taken to North Fulton Regional Hospital for with non-life threatening injuries.
Officer Paul Heaton, a spokesman with the Sandy Springs police, said traffic investigators are still trying to determine the exact cause of the accident. However, it appeared from preliminary findings that the minivan carrying Arroyo and Diaz crossed the center line and hit an SUV. That SUV was then hit by a compact car.
Roswell Road was closed for nearly two hours after the accident.
