Representatives from the Girl Scouts of America presented coloring books, crayons and teddy bears to Forsyth County Sheriff Ted Paxton, the results of a fundraiser by more than 350 Scouts in Northeast Georgia. Donations will be used for children in need, such as victims of accidents or domestic violence. An inventory of the coloring books and crayons will also be kept in each precinct to help occupy children while their parents are meeting with deputies or investigators. Pictured, from left to right are: Troop leaders Leigh Ann Mienert and Jo Ann Wiser, Sheriff Paxton, Troop leader Marla Edge and Laura Skinner, a Membership Specialist with the Girl Scouts of America.
