Caren Hudson, Chattahoochee High School varsity football and competition cheerleading coach, has been named 2007-2008 Coach of the Year by the Georgia Cheerleading Coaches Association. Pictured are, from left, CHS athletic director Milo Mathis, Hudson and CHS principal Tim Duncan.
The GGCA is the cheerleading governing body of the Georgia High School Athletics [GHSA] organization. Awards are based on philosophy of coaching, strength of program, community involvement, professional and coaching affiliations and letters of recommendation and are chosen by the executive board of the GCCA.
During her 12-year tenure at Chattahoochee High School, Coach Hudson has led her squad to seven regional championships and four state championships, as well as four divisional runner-up and state runner-up placements.
