April 03, 2008 CUMMING - Family Haven recently announced the sixth annual "Taste of Forsyth" April 20 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. to be held at the Cumming Fairgrounds. All proceeds from the Taste of Forsyth will go to the building of the new Family Haven shelter that will begin construction by Summer 2008.
The Taste of Forsyth is an outdoor food festival including local vendors and live entertainment. Food vendors are given the opportunity to introduce their food to the community.
Visitors will have the chance to enjoy the food of local restaurants, caterers, bakeries and ice cream shops while visiting the local art and craft vendors and exploring the business expo. People can also climb the rock wall or take a jump in a moonwalk at the kid's corner.
During the event, each restaurant has the opportunity to submit their food for the "Best of Forsyth" competition to highlight our top food selections of Forsyth County.
Admission to the Cumming Fairgrounds is free. Each item is ticketed at 50 cents a ticket with nothing exceeding 6 tickets.

The Taste of Forsyth was quite a disappointment. It was apparent that most restaurants were holding out for the Taste of Alpharetta.
