| | | MYERS (click for larger version) | | March 17, 2008 Michah Myers, the valedictorian of the 2008 Connected Academy senior class, has been awarded a MacLellan Scholarship to Covenant College in Tennessee.
As a "Mac Scholar," Myers will receive 60 percent tuition for four years plus a $2,000 award toward a study abroad or mission trip, or for special classes, including a leadership course with the college president during his freshman year.
Myers is a member of the Connected Academy Student Council Leadership Team, National Honor Society and section editor of the yearbook.
Covenant College awards only 28 "Mac" scholarships per year for 14 men and 14 women. The MacLellan Scholarship Award is based on Christian commitment, scholastic achievement, demonstration of leadership and extra-curricular activities.
Connected Academy is Fulton County School System's newest college preparatory charter high school for junior and seniors, and is located in Milton Center (former Milton High School building).
