•Marine Corps Pvt. Christine J. Morway, daughter of Monica and Robert G. Morway of Alpharetta, recently completed the Marine Corps Basic Enlisted Supply Course. She is a 2007 graduate of Chattahoochee High School and joined the Marine Corps in August 2007.
•Army Pvt. Michael P. Anderson has graduated from basic training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. He is the son of Julie Anderson of Alpharetta.
•Army National Guard Pfc. Ritchie L. Lindberg has graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Benning, Columbus. He is the son of Daniel Lindberg of Alpharetta, and a 2007 graduate of Fork Union Military Academy in Virginia.
•Army Pfc. Nicole L. Hatcher has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. She is the sister of Chinelle Hatcher-Bell of Alpharetta.
•Army Pfc. Adam C. Barron has graduated from the Infantryman One Station Unit Training at Fort Benning, Columbus. He is the son of Roy Barron of Cumming and Patti Vaughan of Roswell, and is a 2002 graduate of Roswell High School.
•Air Force Airman 1st Class Charles M. Owens has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. The son of Charles and Luz Owens of Sugar Hill, Owens is a 2002 graduate of Centennial High School and a 2007 graduate of DeVry University of Alpharetta.
•Navy Lt.j.g. Neil B. Fletcher, a 1999 graduate of Roswell High School, was recently designated a Naval Aviator while serving with Training Squadron 21, Naval Air Station, Kingsville, Texas. Fletcher was presented with the coveted "Wings of Gold," marking the culmination of months of flight training. He joined the Navy in 2004.
•Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Kyle J. Paridee has graduated from the Pavements Maintenance and Construction Equipment Operator Apprentice course at Fort Leonard Wood, Waynesville, Mo. He is the son of Rudolph and Traci M. Gomez of Alpharetta.
•Navy Seaman Recruit Scott W. Allen, son of Cassie and Scott W. Allen of Alpharetta, recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. He is a 2003 graduate of Woodward Academy.
•Heather F. Copley has joined the United States Army under the Delayed Entry Program. She is the daughter of Thomas E. Copley of Duluth.
•Marine Corps Reserve Pfc. Andrew E. Grant, a 2007 graduate of Northview High School, graduated from the Ammunition Technician Specialist Course while assigned to Marine Corps Detachment Redstone Arsenal, Ala. Grant joined the Marine Corps Reserve in July 2007.
•Air Force Airman Stephen W. Rothring has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. He is the son of Robert Rothring of Marietta and Deborah Rothring of Roswell.
•Coast Guard Seaman Ashton M. West, son of Elizabeth B. West of Alpharetta graduated from the U.S. Coast Guard Recruit Training Center in Cape May, N. J. He is a 2007 graduate of Chattahoochee High School.
•Air Force Airman Akeem A. Abraham has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. He is the son of Anthony Abraham of Alpharetta.
•Army Reserve Pvt. Jennifer L. Evans has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. She is the niece of Chris Evans of Roswell, and a 2007 graduate of Roswell High School.
•Navy Seaman Chris G. Petrakos, a 2007 graduate of Blessed Trinity Catholic High School recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.
•Candace R. Steadman of Roswell recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. with honors.

•Army Pvt. John F. Hefele has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. He is the son of Debi Sappington of Alpharetta.
•Army Pfc. Jessica B. Broom has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.She is the daughter of Shirley Barge of Alpharetta, and received an associate degree in 2005 from The Art Institute of Atlanta.
