February 28, 2008 ROSWELL - Roswell crews will begin residential cleanup of the storm damaged areas this weekend, March 1 & 2.
According to Fire Chief Ricky Spencer, the areas are loosely defined as north of Pine Grove Road, south of Ga. 92 and west of Ga. 9. City Sanitation crews, along with Community Waste Services, will handle the work.
Residents in the affected areas should put the debris on the curb according to the ordinance for regular yard waste.
• Small, loose debris (leaves, small branches) should be placed in paper composting sacks or 50 gallon metal or plastic containers marked as yard waste.
• Lids should be left off the containers.
• Branches and tree limbs shall not be more than 4 feet in length. Please stack neatly at the curb.
• Roots must be removed from trees and bushes and either bagged or stacked neatly at the curb.
City officials Community Waste Services said they appreciate the patience that the residents in these areas have demonstrated.
