CMA takes top spot again

Atlanta-based Community Management Associates, a financial and full-service property management company focused on homeowner and condominium associations, took the top property management position in the Atlanta Business Chronicle Book of Lists for the fourth year in a row.

"Each and every CMA employee has helped us earn this recognition," said Dan Henning, CMA's chief executive officer. "We are fortunate to have experienced extraordinary growth again this year. Five Star blazes loan officer/Realtor path

Five Star Mortgage continues to see success throughout Gwinnett County and metro Atlanta offering the "At Your Service Realtors®" Mortgage Loan Officer Program.

Through the program, Realtors sell the property to homebuyers and serve as the mortgage loan officer, as well.

Prior to starting the Realtor Mortgage Loan Officer Program, Five Star Mortgage was a basic mortgage loan company. After noticing a national trend of agents becoming loan officers, the principle founders of Five Star Mortgage wanted to bring this service to Atlanta, said Sandra Dunn, President and CEO of Five Star Mortgage.

"The principles of the company had a vision, and this was a trend they wanted to embrace," Dunn said. "With the principles having more than 30 years background in real estate, they knew for a fact that this was the direction future Realtors would take."

ULI Atlanta launches revamped Web site

Urban Land Institute Atlanta has launched their revamped Web site, www.ULIatlanta.org.

Information about ULI programs and events is highlighted on the home page. Event registration is now available on-line for all ULI Atlanta events. Print resources, including ULI Atlanta's e-newsletters are available for download. Monthly sponsor highlights, member profiles and a "Green Corner" designed to assist visitors in staying abreast of trends in creating sustainable places will be featured.

"Our goal is to make it easier for members and prospective members to get involved and participate in ULI Atlanta's programs, events and initiatives," said Jeff DuFresne, Executive Director of ULI.

As a district council of the Urban Land Institute, ULI Atlanta advances responsible land use policy and real estate development practice throughout greater Atlanta.

Alpharetta Community Bank to hold seminar

The Alpharetta Community Bank, a division of The Buckhead Community Bank, will sponsor "Financing and Managing Your Business in 2008" Tuesday, Feb. 5 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Alpharetta Community Bank on Old Milton Parkway.

Kayne Joins McRae in interactive services

Joshua Kayne has joined McRae as director of interactive services. Kayne will oversee Web-based strategy and programs for all of McRae's interactive clients, including Pathway Communities, GamePlan Financial Marketing, Bowen Family Homes, and Heritage Bank.

Kayne was formerly director of communications for AIG Baker Development where he directed marketing strategy for destination/resort mixed-use developments.

McRae is one of the southeast's largest integrated marketing agencies and one of the only firms in the region to provide comprehensive advertising, public relations and interactive services on an in-house basis.

Denmark roster adds two employees

Atlanta-based Denmark has added two employees to its growing roster of professionals. Shay Langgood joins as creative services manager and Lynn Strickland as agency business manager.

With more than 20 years of experience, Langgood will manage traffic and production of all jobs navigating through the creative process at Denmark.

A certified public accountant with more than seven years experience in financial reporting and budget analysis, Strickland joins Denmark to manage accounting activities and human resources for the agency.

Denmark is an independent, Atlanta-based, full-service marketing and communications agency, offering advertising, branding, interactive and pubic relations services.

NGMC gets next-gen treatment

The Cancer Center at NGMC has installed the new Elekta Synergy linear accelerator radiation therapy machine at the Main Campus in Gainesville. This new system allows physicians at The Cancer Center to visualize tumors before each treatment to more precisely target tumors with the radiation beam.

Elekta Synergy is the world's first radiation treatment system with an integrated 3D imaging system that enables clinicians to obtain cone beam CT imaging of patients just before each treatment. This new system allows The Cancer Center radiation oncologists to obtain images, including soft tissues, in three dimensions, just before treatment with the patient in the exact position he or she will be treated.

Summer Classics on cover of Harth & Home

Outdoor lifestyle furniture manufacturer Summer Classics, which has recently opened a Roswell showroom, will be featured as the cover story for the December issue of the major industry publication Hearth & Home.

Rhe Roswell location is the inaugural launch of Summer Classics' "Master Store" concept. This unique merchandising mix combines its entire outdoor furniture line, indoor home furnishings, French and Asian antiques, accessories and holiday decor -- all under one roof.

Local designer published in "Big Book of Ideas"

Mark Misenheimer, owner of Johns Creek-based Misenheimer Creative Inc., a graphic design and creative development firm, recently had several logos he created added to the "The Big Book of Design Ideas #3".

The book will be published in early 2008.

McReynolds new VP of sales and marketing

Timothy McReynolds joined Robert Harris Homes as Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

In this role, McReynolds will serve as the broker of record for Robert Harris Homes and will be responsible for establishing and overseeing the sales and marketing for the company, as well as working with and motivating the sales team.

McReynolds comes from Sharp Residential, where he served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. In 2006, he was awarded Sales Manager of the Year from the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association for his work at the company.

Alpharetta company selected for conference
