February 06, 2008 CUMMING -- A third bank robbery Monday, Feb. 4 has Forsyth investigators searching for what they believe is a single suspect. A Crescent Bank on Ga. 9 in south Forsyth was robbed Monday, the second Crescent Bank branch hit. A Geor-gia Federal Credit Union on Canton Highway was robbed a few days later.
All three banks were robbed within a two-week span.
Investigators from the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office and the City of Cumming Police Department are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect in the recent robberies of three Forsyth County banks.
"There are similarities in all three robberies," said Forsyth County Sheriff Ted Paxton.
In all three robberies the suspect approached a teller window and handed the teller a note, demanding cash. No weapon was shown. After receiving an undetermined amount of cash the suspect left the banks on foot.
