January 28, 2008 Forsyth County Commission Chairman Charles Laughinghouse was recently recognized as one of the Top 10 Next Generation Leaders on the Frank Norton Native Intelligence Report.
According to the report, earning a spot on the list requires an individual to have directly influenced the region by economic influence, community contribution or public service. Laughinghouse was number two on the list.
The report describes Laughinghouse as being a "force and power" in Forsyth County.
"His leadership will shape Forsyth and the Ga. 400 Corridor for decades to come," the report states.
Laughinghouse said he was honored to be part of the list.
"I must thank Mr. Norton and his organization for including me as a 21st Century Leader for 2008," he said. "When I look at the present and past members of this group I am honored to be in their company."
