The following area students are summer 2007 graduates of Valdosta State University.
Jason Grant Craven of Alpharetta, bachelor's of business administration in accounting; Kristen Marie Francis of Alpharetta, bachelor's of science in chemistry; Kristen Michelle Longfellow of Alpharetta, bachelor's of science in environmental geosciences; Brian Thomas Stone of Alpharetta, bachelor's of business administration in finance.
The following area students have been named to the summer 2007 dean's list at Valdosta State University.
Sara Ann Beverly, Alpharetta; Lindsay Nicole Castleberry, Alpharetta; Rebecca Leigh Umberg, Suwanee.
Art Institute of Atlanta
Michael Mandato and Wing Kin Lau, both of Alpharetta, were named two of the most accomplished summer quarter graduates of The Art Institute of Atlanta. During the college's graduation ceremonies on Sept. 13, Mandato was presented with the Best Portfolio Award for video, and Lau for Outstanding Academic Performance in culinary arts.
Mandato graduated from The Art Institute of Atlanta with the bachelor of fine arts degree in digital filmmaking and video production. Lau received the bachelor's of science degree in culinary arts management.
