• Pvt. Micah Voss, son of Barry Voss & Kim Star-Voss of Alpharetta, recently completed basic training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, SC. Micah is a 2007 graduate of Alpharetta High School.
• Army National Guard Pfc. Jarrett K. Nieves has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. He is the son of Virgina Nodine of Smyrna, and stepson of Nina Nieves of Roswell. Nieves is a 2006 graduate of Lassiter High School.
• Army Reserve Pvt. Geoffrey D. Banks has graduated from Basic Combat training at Fort Sill, Lawton, Okla. He is the son of Gladys McBurrows of Roswell, and a 2006 graduate of Roswell High School.
• Army Pvt. Kelly D. Avery has graduated from basic training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. She is the daughter of Bill Krug of Waldorf, Md., and Donna Krug of Alpharetta. Avery is a 2004 graduate of Milton High School.
