Lindsey Lawton, 8, asked her neighbors in the Hillbrooke subdivision to spruce up their holiday decorations this year. The street is lined with lighted candy canes, colorful displays and lights on nearly every house.

Lindsey Lawton wanted to see her Johns Creek neighborhood decorated with lights this holiday season. But not just a few lights – a lot of lights.
So the 8-year-old Abbotts Hill Elementary School second-grader used her creative skills to design a poster and distributed it to her neighbors on her street in the Hillbrooke subdivision.
Her advertising campaign worked – several of the residences are lit up with a rainbow of colors. The Lawtons and some other neighbors erected lighted candy canes made out of garland next to their mailboxes – something which they say has helped them call their street "Candy Cane Lane."
Trees adorned with lights, inflatable snowman and icicle-like lights decorate the Lawton's street so brightly, it will be hard to Santa Claus to miss his stop at any of those homes.
Her mother, Cindy, said Lindsey went door-to-door to thank all of the neighbors who participated this year.
