December 05, 2007
The Kiwanis Clubs of Alpharetta and Johns Creek recently held a family night to benefit the Georgia Firefighters Burn Foundation.

The Alpharetta Chick-fil-A sponsored the event by donating 10 percent of its gross revenue earned between 5 - 8 p.m. Kiwanians also collected donations from patrons going through the drive-thru and at the intersection at the store.

Activities for the kids included games and prizes, firefighter coloring books, a free sundae bar, a balloon artist/magic man, rides in the Burn Foundation's miniature fire truck (driven by Foundation Director Dennis Gardin), and photo ops with the Chick-fil-A cow and a City of Milton fire truck and firemen.

For the adults, SafetyNet4kids, which also donated 10 percent of its gross revenue, was on hand for parents who wished to purchase child safety products.
