(FULTON COUNTY COMMUNITY RELATIONS/Special) (click for larger version)
December 05, 2007
Atlanta-Fulton Public Library System staff members receive a proclamation from Fulton County Commission Chairman John H. Eaves recognizing "Teen Read Week." Observed nationally Oct. 14-20, the week encouraged teenagers to "Read for the Fun of It," not just for school work, but also for general knowledge, enjoyment and relaxation. The Atlanta-Fulton Library (www.afplweb.com) offers youth-oriented programs such as the Teen Technology and Homework Center, College and Career Info, and Check Out Music. Also shown: Front row, District 3 Commissioner Lynne Riley, left; Sara Miller, Young Adult Librarian at Alpharetta Branch Library; Virginia Cline, Young Adult Librarian at Ocee Branch Library; and Gayle Holloman, Branch Manager at Ocee Branch Library. Back row, from left: Library Director John Szabo; District 3 (at-large) Commissioner Robb Pitts; and Vice Chairman William "Bill" Edwards, District 7.
