Johns Creek Community Association chats with zoning applicants
by Caron Cooper
December 05, 2007
The Johns Creek Community Association (JCCA) will hold its monthly community zoning information meeting from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Dec. 6.

The purpose is to allow JCCA member associations and Johns Creek residents to learn more about upcoming land use petitions. The Planning Commission and City Council are expected hear the following in January:

• Kroger Fueling Center at Haynes Bridge Road and Old Alabama Road: Request is to amend an existing zoning condition to allow for fuel station in the northwest corner of the existing Kroger shopping center's parking lot. A concurrent variance is sought to reduce the number of required parking spaces from 672 to 640. The applicant intends to include an upgrade to the parking lot's lighting and the installation of new monument identification signs.

• Johns Creek Pointe at the southeast corner of Medlock Bridge Road and Parsons Road: This parcel was previously rezoned to C-1 Conditional and is not being rezoned again. Owner/developer wants to keep the community informed about the site plan, landscape plan and architecture of the soon-to-be-built retail project.

The meeting will be held at EBC Office and Conference Center, 11330 Lakefield Drive, Building Two, Suite 200 in Johns Creek.

Rezoning applications can be found on the city's Web site at www.johnscreekga.gov. For more about JCCA, visit www.jccahome.org.
